BOSTON TERRIER MAULED BY A PIT BULL
This is Henry, just after his first surgery. He is a Boston Terrier from Seattle Washington. On the morning of December 20th 2011, Henry’s owner Lori, let him out into their own backyard to go potty. He happily went out to the yard while Lori went to the kitchen for no more than 2 minutes. Henry apparently was sniffing around the backyard fence of his own yard and must have put his nose through the slats leading to the neighbors yard where two vicious pitbulls lived. One of the male pit bulls next door saw Henry looking through the fence and attacked him from the OTHER SIDE OF THE FENCE.
THIS IS THE FENCE AFTER THE ATTACK. This is Henry’s side. The pit bull was on the other side.
The pit bull latched on to Henry’s face and mauled him. Luckily after 10 minutes, the pit bull finally let go, leaving Henry with his entire face ripped off to the bone. Henry has completely lost his entire nose. Specialists in veterinary soft tissue reconstruction have performed one surgery and there are several more surgeries to go. Henry is doing well. He is eating, breathing fine and his vitals are stable.
The expense for his treatment could exceed $10,000.00. The owner of the pit bull refuses to help in any way and has taken her dogs to an unknown location. Meanwhile, Lori is trying to pay for Henry’s extensive medical bills.
Please help Henry. If you would like to make a donation, no matter how big or small, it can be made directly to the animal hospital where Henry is currently being treated.
